Menswear designer, Andreas Moskin, has been making made-to-measure excellence for some time, but his latest collection, inspired by one of the most iconic, and era-defining paintings of all time, ‘A Bigger Splash‘ by David Hockney. The collection is equal parts pastel Palm desert boogie as it is androgynous rock star, and yes, it’s all we want to wear this spring on some Arabic rooftop with a bedazzled cocktail in hand. The pointy silhouettes and unordinary construction mimic the clean lines and movements of the famous painting, while adding a sense of fun and freedom through surprising design solutions like deconstructed or no-collar blazers, billowy palazzo trousers, and Bermuda shorts.
Among the keynotes of the collection are the exaggerated shoulders and sandals, akin to a 1980s Eurythmics music video while perusing the desert, but with a light coloured twist, resulting in the perfect Spring/Summer attire that is as versatile as it is sustainable.
